The Marina Theatre, Lowestoft is a 771 seater, 2 tier auditorium, originally built in 1878 by architect R.F. Brett. The auditorium was refurbished in 2012, works included a full repaint, new seating and carpets in a brand new colour scheme mixture of blues, grey and gold. Many of the previously covered mouldings and features were revealed and restored. The entire seating was restored and reupholstered in dark blue with several of the cast iron seats being recast to match those thought to be original and some thought to have been rescued from the former Lowestoft Odeon Cinema. The theatre has a proscenium arch stage measuring 8.3m wide and a range of theatrical lighting and sound equipment. T theatre features a full loading bay for 45ft trucks to unload directly onto stage. The 2015 the theatre facade was repainted in creme and gold.
