Enquire about location

16th century stately home in the village of Long Melford. Melford Hall is the ancestral seat of the Parker Baronets and once enjoyed regular visits from Beatrix Potter, whose sketches of the location are still there today. One wing of the hall was gutted by fire in February 1942 but rebuilt after World War II, retaining the external Tudor brickwork with 1950s interior design. It sits in a romantic ground with a wide, welcoming driveway leading up to the entrance.
