Mellis Common

Framed by cottages and famrhouses, Mellis Common has barely changed over the last 200 years and offers a glimpse to what much of Suffolk use to look like. The common is still farmed using traditional techniques and this maintains abundant wildlife and rare plants. It contains a number of ponds and wet depressions which provide a variety of plant life.
